Bite My Style

Three words "Bite My Style" and no this is not a curse but the latest fashion label out of Croatia by designer/stylist Zoran Aragović. He describes his fashion as chaotic mixture that incorporates different styles, materials, colours, patterns and as such creates a unique pret a porter BiteMyStyle collection!

I had the pleasure of meeting him yesterday at the Alternative Fashion Week. When I saw the name of his label, I turn to my designer friend and said to her that it was HOTT! Not only the name of the label but the clothes too. He does everything from dresses, skirts to bag. His work is for want of a better word "Unique".

When asked what the motivation/inspiration behind his label was. He said "... there are many designers trying to make their own individual style stand out, the competition is fierce so the most important thing today is to BE DIFFERENT, to be yourself - not the imitation." One thing about his label is that it's not created with a particular type of woman in mind. It is for anyone who wants to be creative and not afraid of being an individual.

So ladies if you what something a little different this year for your ward robe, "bite" his style and check out this website (www.bitemystyle.com.hr).

My Colourful Shoes is saying to all you beauties out there “Bite My Style”. Stay tuned for more

True Men Have Style

I am sick and tired of the myth that men can 'tdress and if you are a stylish man that you have to be gay or something like that. Well I for one do not agree with that notion. I know plenty of stylish men out there that are not gay and have what I have nicely termed as "Swagger".

One such a man that has swagger is noted fashion designer Emmy Collins (www.emmycollins.com). I am proud to say I have worked with him and he is a man of true style and class. A man know how to pull of a suit effortlessly. Some have deem his work as been designed for Metrosexual Men. But I say that his work is designed for The Really Man who is have confidence and style and wants the world to know this.

To quote Emmy himself:

Am not interested in designing pieces folks will forget minute after they have seen them.I make them uncompromisingly strong, edgy, eclectic and elegant so that one can`t ignore them even with an effort. And when I die I like the epitaph to read "HERE LIES A MAN WHO STAYED TRUE TO HIS STYLE BELIEVES"....

Listen folks I say this just this once True Men Have Style. And don't you ever forget that.

British Summer Fashion

Yes it seems summer is here, sun is shining brightly. The sky is blue not solitary grey cloud in sight. So why is everyone dresses so dull. I'm on the northern headed to work and everyone look so droll. I see a lot of black and denim been worn especially by the ladies. Whatever happened to buying a nice summer dress. I saw one Karen Millen the other day. It looked amazing. Now I'm not a big fan of Karen Millen's clothing but she does have the habit of bringing out a few amazing pieces now and then.

I know we are in the middle of a recession but I'm sure people can still afford to shop are primark or peacocks. They have very stylish summer dress. There so much beautiful coloured prints in the shops but yet British Women choose to dressing rather plain and dull. Those who do decide to be more daring are looked down unto as being weird or the hippish. What'swrong with wearing a nice bohemian print dress with nice shawl to keep warm if the weather changes.

Yesterday I went to a view for the new collection of a few designers that were managed by CiCi Consultancy. I saw the most fabulous print dress by a label call Papillon Bleu (www.papillonbleu.com). The label is ran a designer called Vanessa and she is all about print garments made from natural materials. No polyester in her collection. 100% cotton or silk. And ladies her work is amazing.

I don't see why British Women are so scared of wearing prints. One of the reasons/excuse that iI have heard is that not everyone looks good in prints but I beg to differ. For every skin tone there is the right coloured print dress and accessories to compliment it. There are many celebrities are there that wear print and they look amazing in them.

I set this challenge to anyone who reads this try wearing print. If you need guidance or assistant leave me a comment. I will even take you on a shopping trip and style you
