String NO

Lately all I have been seeing, is a lot of people wearing this "String Vest" and they think that they are cool. My Colourful Shoes was at this year's Afro Hair and Beauty Show and we saw not one but two people wearing this string style vest. Now from the back they looked well put together. In fact one of them had a very stylish jacket one that went well with her jeans. And My Colourful Shoes thought it was hott but then when she turned round, revealing this hideous monstrosity of a vest. My Colourful Shoes quickly switch our opinion from hott to NOTTTT. People this string vest can only work if you do it like this. See picture below for reference.

Coming soon...... My Colourful Shoes View on UGG and Sweatpants.

Bridal is Kosibah

Every woman wants to look a like a vision Elegance and beauty on her wedding day. I don't know one who doesn't want to have the "Wedding Dress" of their dreams. What I do know are the women who are queuing up to be draped Kosibah Creation on their wedding date.

The mastermind behind this beautiful fashion label that is the desire of every soon to be bride is non other than award winning designer Yemi Osunkoya. Yemi established the Kosibah Creations label in London in 1991 and named the company in honour of his mother. The name Cosiba comes from the Republic of Benin and is the day name of a female child born on a Sunday.

He has dressed many of celebrities from Kelly Rowland to Alesha Dixon. His clientele is worldwide, spanning from Nigeria to USA.

When he creates a wedding gown, he creates something that is designed to enhance the female body, to bring the beauty in her and make her shine.

Yemi Osunkoya is truly an amazing designer and someone My Colour shoes is proud to say we know and have worked with in the past and hopefully the forthcoming future. He will forever receive 2 massive thumbs up for his amazing, breathtaking creations.

Tweed is Back

Now when I mention Tweed to some people, they think of old school, stuffy, uptight old people. They think of tweed as been outdated and with no place in today's fashion. But Tweed is making a revival now. It's this year's AW fabric of choice.

Tweed suits for women was first introduce by the Coco Chanel in the late 1950, she was criticised for going against the norm. But nearly 50 yrs on and tweed is back in vogue.

Tweed is Fashion.
